How about multiple files per font? The fact that those multiple files are platform-specific and recombine in weird ways? And that some of them can’t survive travel across certain kinds of file system…3 -

Ukelele is reportedly excellent; I only left it out because it is Mac-only. (Which I think means that not only does it only run on Macs, but only produces keyboards for Macs.)2
